Brilliant Teacher Parodies Hamilton for Back-to-School Fun

This teacher has blown us all away with his creative version of a Hamilton tune.

We’ve all had a lot of angst about starting the 2020 school year, with the challenges of remote learning or hybrid learning, but one Missouri teacher reassured his students it would all be fine with a parody of Hamilton the musical.

Using Hamilton‘s “You’ll be Back,” a song original sung by King George to the Americans, Scott Degitz-Fries, an inspirational math teacher, students they’ll be back to school eventually. And when they do, they’ll get to sing some math songs.

“They say COVID is spreading too fast and you must stay away,” he sings. “Just think of the upsides: no hallways or footwear.”

We’re just hoping he posts some more videos to help us with remote schooling, because if he can make calculus this fun, we’re totally in.
