Here are two colorful books worth seeing!
Everything Goes: On Land by Brian Biggs (Harper Collins, 2011) is a much-needed take on vehicle visuals. As Biggs puts it, think “Richard Scarry meets Where’s Waldo.” But we’ll say the illustrations are a bit more whimsical and the details a lot more modern. Busy, colorful, and bursting with hometown nuances of Philadelphia and New York City, this book will have your kids intrigued and inspired. Ages 4 and up, $14.99.
The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse (Penguin Group, 2011) is Eric
Carle’s first published book in more than four years. Presenting an artist who paints the world as he sees it, Carle demonstrates his beloved illustration style with electric-colored creatures sure to delight readers and little artists everywhere. Ages 3-6, $17.99.
