The continent’s first indoor snow park is finally opening this week. Big SNOW American Dream in East Rutherford will offer year-round indoor skiing and snowboarding on real snow and tickets are on sale now.
The 180,000-square-foot park is totally climate-controlled and boasts a 16-story ski slope. You and the kids can take on four acres of snowy slopes, a 160-foot vertical drop and 1,000 feet of length covered by four surface and aerial lifts.
“Many of the American Dream guests will be coming from areas that don’t have snow, or visiting in the warm months when snow is typically inaccessible in the outdoor environment,” Hugh Reynolds, VP of marketing and sales at SNOW Operating, told New Jersey Family last year. “Our plan is to give guests everything they need to have their first ski or snowboard experience, so they can arrive in flip-flops and shorts and we provide all the clothing and gear they need to enjoy a day on snow.”

Your family can either get a Slope Access Ticket or the SNOW Day All-Inclusive Package. The Slope Access pass is $29.99 plus tax and gets you two hours on the snow. Opening Day
The park opens Thursday, December 5 at 3 pm. From then on, the park will be open from 10 am-10 pm daily. Santa will be there on the 5th to open the park. Rentals will be available.
