Whether you’re looking for a place to shop or a night out at a top-tier restaurant,  Cherry Hill has a bit of everything.

The most well-known hot spot is the Cherry Hill Mall; opened in 1961, it was one of America’s first enclosed and climate-controlled malls. The mall includes Nordstrom, Macy’s and about 160 other shops and dining spots such as Fatburger, Gong Cha, The Capital Grille, The Bistro and more.

Try something fun for the family by hitting up Escape Room Mystery on Haddonfield Road. For an hour you’ll work together with your group to find clues and codes to escape before time runs out. The rooms here are custom-made and are reserved privately, including four escape rooms unlike each other. Whether you’re into aliens or historic tombs, this location has themes such as Area 51, Billionaire’s Den, Egyptian Tomb and The Laboratory.

Cherry Hill holds an annual festival on August 31 called the Al Fresco Affair, held in the evening at the Croft Farm. You and your family can enjoy tasting foods from a variety of food trucks, with the town’s local restaurant Forgotten Boardwalk Brewing hosting a beer garden. Throughout the event, live music and a beautiful view of the trails are provided.

If your family is more interested in the history of Cherry Hill, visit local landmarks Croft Farm and Barclay Farmstead. When Croft Farm isn’t hosting festivals, it is a public park with a recreation trail, an arts center and a summer camp. The Croft Farm Art Center holds musicals and small concerts performed by residents that anyone can attend. The center also holds four studios where you and your family can take pottery classes. Barclay Farmstead is a living history museum where you can learn about the house’s history that started 200 years ago; it’s a great place to learn the background of Cherry Hill.
