Dinosaur and Tulip Festival

Among the beautifully blooming fields of tulips and other flowers will be 30+ animatronic dinosaurs with lots of facts about dino history.
Tri-State Tulip Festival

Aside from 1 million tulips, there will be thousands of daffodils blooming during the festival, which includes u-pick flowers on weekdays and a festival every weekend – featuring kids’ activities, a new playground, live music, paddle boats, and a beer garden.
PEEPS in the Village

The Visitors Center will have dozens of sculptures made out of the popular Easter marshmallow candy. Vote for your favorites.
The Cereal Cocktail Bar

New York International Auto Show

Aside from seeing the newest, coolest and tech-savvy vehicles, the 125th anniversary mega auto show includes Camp Jeep, a historical exhibit, interactive activities and demos.
Earth Day Cleanup and Green Fair

Brick Fest Live

Shad Fest

The American Shad fish migrates back to the Delaware River, and the river towns celebrate. During Shad Fest, there will be shopping, shad fishing and demos, arts and crafts, music, a beer garden and a poster auction.
Earth Day Celebration

An open-air market will be displayed among the vines, with artisans, healers and creators sharing their passion for nature. There will also be a drum circle and yoga in the vines.
Treasures of the Swamp Scavenger Hunt
Great Swamp Outdoor Education Center, Chatham

Visit as many Great Swamp partner sites as you can, answer questions to complete your scavenger hunt booklet and receive tickets that will enroll you into a raffle. The culminating event will be Sunday at the Great Swamp OEC, where prizes will be announced around a campfire with s’mores.

The day will feature interactive activities, character meet-and-greets, live art exhibits, and activities that spotlight autism and employment. Stephen Wiltshire, a world-renowned autistic artist, will draw a panoramic artwork of American Dream and the New York City skyline live at the event.

Little Farm Friends: Wagon Ride

Lyyra in Concert

Lyyra is the only professional six-voice women’s a cappella group, and they’ll bring classical, jazz, pop and folk music from diverse traditions to the church stage.
A Night to Shine: Country Western Edition

Saddle up and put your boots on for line dancing lessons, dinner, music, a tricky tray and the Lucky Horseshoe Mystery Table. There will be badges awarded for the best cowgirl and cowboy outfits. This is a fundraiser for Shine and Inspire.

Miles for Malcolm 5K/5-Mile Run

Tara and the Rev. Kim Wildszewski honor their son Malcolm, who passed away in May 2020, just after his second birthday, from Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood. “Sleeping Beauty”

The Ukrainian Grand Kyiv Ballet dancers take the stage for the ballet. More than half of the dancers escaped their home country due to the war with Russia, and part of the proceeds will benefit the rebuilding of their dance school in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Earth Day & Ecosystems Family Event
New Jersey State Museum, Trenton
Based off the new exhibition “Ecosystems at Risk: Threatened and Endangered in New Jersey,” there will be free activities, talks, birdwatching, sun printing, a sandbox, a bird activity station, a gardening station and pollinator activities. You can see a show in the planetarium for an additional cost.
Freehold High School Color Run 2025

Sign up for a very colorful 5K or the 1-Mile Family Fun Run. Wear white or light-colored clothes and prepare to be doused with colored powder along the route.
Art Walk

The free, family festivals at Y locations around the country are a way to learn about summer programs, while also riding in the bike rodeo, taking a fitness class, doing arts and crafts, swimming in the pool and playing on the basketball court. The Camp Zehnder location in Wall will also have a fishing derby.

There will also be free drop-in activities at the Zimmerli Art Museum on campus: scavenger hunts, art making and tours.
Earth Day Celebration

With the theme of “Act Locally, Think Globally,” the celebration will focus on how local environmentalism can lead to positive global effects. This will be held by OceanGro.

Earth Day Celebration and Folk & Bluegrass Festival

There will be live music from local bands, food trucks, live animal encounters, upcycled arts & crafts, fitness demos and eco-friendly vendors showcasing their products.

African and European Music Meet

Earth Day Festival & Greenway Walk

Come early to explore the farm via a 2-mile loop that begins at the Harding House and returns just as the festival begins. There will be exhibits from environmental organizations, a beekeeping seminar, wallaby tales, tours of the Harding House, performances inside the Red Barn, a drum circle and a bake sale.

There are many options for athletes of any age, skill level and experience to join the race. The main event is a 10-minute swim in the bubble pool, a 30-minute outdoor spin bike ride, and a 5K race. The Super Sprint option is a 5-minute swim, 15-minute bike and 1.5-mile run. There are relay options available, plus a course for special needs athletes.

Chwame Gischuch: Under the Shad Moon

Teri Hislop, tribal member and Clan Mother of the Lenape Nation of Pennsylvania, will talk about the Southern Unami dialect of the Lenape Language. Throughout the village, you can learn about the culture of prehistory, see a broom making demo, look at Revolutionary War artifacts, see interpreters cook planked fish and popcorn on a stick, and make a corn husk doll.

Join members of the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office and other law enforcement agencies for an all-inclusive event for families, caregivers, service providers and community partners.
AAPI New Jersey Color Run

Celebrate Holi, which is the Hindu festival of spring, and Songkran, which is Thai New Year, by racing through a closed course as you get splattered with colorful powder.

July 30 is the “C…is For Celebrate!” fireworks show.

Curious George: Let’s Get Curious! Exhibit

There are a series of immersive zones that let kids go on George’s adventures in the city, on the farm and in outer space. The exhibit includes the operation of wheels and pulleys, three holes of mini golf, a space rocket, a sidewalk produce stand, a vacation in the country, a farm visit, a city park playset, a busy wall, and a museum that has an original manuscript.

The Longest Yarn

The Longest Yarn is a 3D wool exhibit, knitted and crocheted by hundreds of volunteers worldwide. It measures 80 meters (265 feet) and honors the 80 years since D-Day and the 80 days of battle it took for the Allies to liberate Paris. It’s coming from the UK to New Jersey for a few months.

Five artists from Monument Lab in Philadelphia created gigantic, creative, introspective monuments that will be on display for their beauty, but also to address political, cultural and social issues.

You can order a curated picnic lunch that you can eat with the family in the Acer Courtyard (where the peacocks hang out) or anywhere within the 42-acre sculpture garden.
Topiaries at Philadelphia Zoo

As part of a garden redesign inside the zoo, you can see five beautiful, giant, 3D shrubbery sculptures, in addition to planters that will change throughout the season. The topiaries include giraffes, fish, a butterfly, a peacock and a snail.
Hometown Pride: The Power of Sports in Middlesex County
Cornelius Low House Museum, Piscataway
Select dates, through December 31
Middlesex County’s sports connections include the first-ever college football game played between Rutgers University and Princeton University and professional athletes and Olympians, Paralympians, and Special Olympians. You will see high school trophies from the 1930s to the present, NFL golden footballs for pro athletes, balls from the highest-scoring high school athletes, uniforms from the 1930s to the present, and more.
