While you eagerly wait for American Dream Meadowlands to open, there’s another major project in the works that should be on your radar. Adventure Crossing USA, a massive feat being built by Jackson-based Cardinale Enterprises, will bring a huge indoor sports dome, entertainment facilities, sports fields, a hotel and more to the town.
The 300 acres on which the construction will be built spans land between I-95 and Six Flags Great Adventure. Adventure Crossing USA will neighbor Six Flags Great Adventure and Hurricane Harbor, and will be within driving distance of Philadelphia, Jackson Premium Outlets, Laurita Winery and the Jersey Shore.
The facility will be a premier spot for youth sports tournaments in South Jersey and beyond, thanks to its 89-foot-high sports bubble complete with a two-story mezzanine view, five basketball/volleyball courts, indoor clubhouse for baseball and softball, rooms for karate, fencing and cross-fit, nearly 400K square feet of turf fields for soccer, lacrosse and more, batting cages and a retail space for shopping equipment and sports accessories. There will also be an Agility and Speed Training Center stocked with pro coaches that can help athletes hone their skills and recover.
Entertainment features include a multi-level laser tag course, an epic Jersey Shore-themed arcade, a rock wall and rope course, drone racing, an e-sports section, a hair salon and a sports bar and grill. The space will also be able to accommodate parties, corporate meetings and multisport camps and clinics. In addition to the recreation and sports facilities, an on-site hotel (a Hilton Garden Inn) will also be in the works for the convenience of visiting athletes and guests.
