A Bunch of Lunch Ideas

Creative and inspirational lunch ideas

It's not even October yet, and I felt like I was out of ideas for what to pack in my kid's lunch. So I went online for inspiration. Here are four sites which should have enough ideas to help you pack fun lunches through June:

Another Lunch: This site focuses on lunches that go in bento-style lunch boxes, and covers how to pick the right one. Also a source for endless lunch ideas and helpful "how to" tutorials.

Ethan's Kindergarten (& 1st Grade) Lunches: This is a Flickr photo stream with hundreds of ideas that are fun and healthy.

Kitchen Fun with My 3 Sons: This blog is full of fun food ideas, including a list of creative lunches.

Wendolonia:This blog has a lot of helpful how-tos including Bento Box Basics. Also has a Bento Box Gallery of 840 lunches, so you can go straight to photo inspiration.

For kids who like "dipping," I recommend the PlanetBox lunch box that comes with "big dipper" and "little dipper" containers making it possible to pack hummus, salad dressing, and other dipping favorites.

And if you're making lunch to eat at home, I love the ideas at Muffin Tin Mom (sample shown in photo). She makes incredibly creative lunches, which are often (but not always) in muffin tins! A huge favorite at our house, and a birthday tradition for all my kids.

Now you tell us, what do you pack in your kid's lunch?
