If you’re craving some seriously delicious Salt and Pepper Shrimp or a warm bowl of Egg Drop Soup, Hunan Taste in Denville should be at the top of your list, according to The Daily Meal.

The ornately decorated Chinese mainstay has been owned and operated by the Hsiung family since 1986 and has been serving up classics like Hunan Shrimp with Walnuts (crispy shrimp served in a red sauce with walnuts) and Tangerine Chicken (chunks of chicken simmered in a tangerine-flavored sauce) for just over 30  years. Much of the menu items put a unique twist on Hunan, Szechuan and Mandarin staples and has earned high marks from Zagat readers.

Last year, the Hsiung family opened another restaurant,  The Noble East in Montclair. That makes for two great date night options in North Jersey for fans of Chinese cuisine.
