At the end of the week, chill out at the Manville Library for an afternoon of board, card and video games. It's the perfect opportunity to spend quality time with your family.
Celebrate Mexico’s Día de los Muertos at the Princeton Shopping Center with strolling mariachis, sugar skull decorating, face painting and more. Teach your children about this cultural holiday and how these traditions honor those who’ve died.
Head to Dewy Meadow Village in Basking Ridge for some quality family fun. There’ll be music, fun events, food, drinks and over 40 vendors to peruse.
The Caboose Mystery with Steve the Magic Conductor
Join Steve the Magic Conductor at the Franklin Township Library in Franklinville to help search for clues and solve a mystery in this train-themed family magic show.

The entire family can stroll along beautiful trails at Echo Lake Park in Mountainside and get their steps in by walking all the way to Lenape Park. Race your mini-mes and watch their little cheeks flush with excitement.
Check out more than a dozen craft tables, art classes and vendors for gift shopping and of course, for treating yourself. This event at the VFW Hall in Manville is hosted by juvenile diabetes charity Michael’s Miracles, so you'll feel great about opening your wallet for a good cause.

Indians in the Rocky Hill Area: Their Settlements and Autumn Activities
Learn about the Native Americans that once inhabited the local area and countryside at the Mary Jacobs Memorial Library in Rocky Hill. Dazzle your kiddos with knowledge of settlements, lifestyles and autumn activities. Registration required.
The Story of the Delaware and Raritan Canal
Gather around for storytime at the Bound Brook Library. Learn how these local canals not only changed lives, but how they came to be. Registration required.
This concert band, which has been around since 1941 and performs to support airmen and their families, has over 40 professional airmen musicians who play a wide variety of music: jazz, Broadway hits and movie scores. Check them out the State Theatre in New Brunswick.

Make an appointment with your preschooler to learn about dental health at the Cranford Library. Learn from a dental hygienist who will read tooth-themed books, introduce kids to tools and sing songs about brushing techniques.
Just Jersey Food Truck & Music Festival
Enjoy a day of feasting and dancing at the Rockaway Boro Firemans Field. Grab some drinks and tasty treats while you bop around to live music with your friends. Don’t forget to bring canned goods to donate. Admission is free, but food and drink prices vary.

Science at the Schultz House: Magnetic Experiments
This month’s family fun event at the Schultz House in Montclair is stuck on magnets. Kids can experiment with static electricity and magnetization, while adults can learn about the evolution of electricity from the 1800s.
This weekend concert series features classical and jazz musicians from the faculty of the Mason Gross School. Enjoy art while listening to music at the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers-New Brunswick.
