Where to Find Free Indoor Movies in NJ this Summer

In addition to popular free outdoor movies screening across NJ, free indoor movies at NJ theaters will help you beat the heat and catch a flick all summer long. Here are some places you can go.

AMC Theatres Summer Movie Camp begins June 20 and offers $4 movies every Wednesday at 10 am at AMC Loews Seacourt 10 in Toms River. See show titles here. Admission includes a ticket and kids pack. The kids pack offers kids drink, popcorn and candy.

Bow Tie Cinemas will be hosting its Summer Kids Series every Tuesday and Wednesday at 9 am from late June through mid-August on a first come first serve basis. The venues will include theaters in Washington Twp., Aberdeen, South Orange, Hackettstown, Bergenfield, Hoboken and more. Summer 2018 details to be announced.

Cinepolis offers G and PG rated flix during their Summer Kids Series. Lineup includes The Boss BabyThe Angry Birds MovieSmurfs: The Lost VillageThe Emoji MovieCloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2The LEGO Ninjago Movie, The LEGO MovieThe LEGO Batman MovieDespicable Me and Paddington 2. Movies are $1 at Cinepolis and $3 at Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas. Locations can be found at Mansfield, Parsippany, Succasunna.

City Plex 12 Free Kids Summer Films Series in Newark provides gratis family-friendly movies every Wednesday and Thursday. Admission opens at 9 am on a first come first serve basis and the movie begins at 10 am.

Harvey Cedars Fire House offers free movie night every second and fourth Tuesday from June 12 through August 28 from 7-9 pm. Admission is $1/kids and $2/adults, popcorn and soda are available.

Jurassic Park Movie Showing & Party is perfect for fans of Jurassic Park. Enjoy a free showing at the Warren Library’s Northeast Branch in Hackettstown on June 18 at 6 pm. Dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets and popcorn will be served, all ages welcome.

Marquee Cinemas in Toms River hosts a free summer movie series at 9:30 am on Tuesdays and Wednesdays featuring two recently released (G and PG rated) films each day from July 4-August 22. Regal Summer Movie Express is an (almost) free indoor summer movie experience. If you're willing to spend $1, you can see a fun flick with your family on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10 am from July 3-August 29.

Showcase Cinemas offers weekly free screenings in Edgewater, Wednesday mornings at 10 am. Kids need to bring a book report to “Bookworm Wednesdays” to get in free. Get full schedule and details here. Children under six and adults who accompany a participant can get into Bookworm Wednesdays free, too. Summer 2018 dates to be announced.

The State Theatre 15 in New Brunswick hosts free summer movies every Tuesday at 10:30 am and 7 pm. Experience The Lion King, The Great Puppet Caper, Coco, Despicable Me 3, Wonder and more starting July 3.
