What Would Your Name Be Today?

Based on popularity, find out what your name would be in different decades.

Published:

Hot on the heels of the newly revealed most popular baby names of 2014, Time.com has used the Social Security Administration data to take names and compare them by popularity to names in different decades. I gave it a try, and if I were born today, instead of Angel my name would be Julianna, since Angel was the 180th most popular name of 1974, and Julianna is in that spot today.

It also back tracks to find out what your name would have been in history, and it personally made me laugh to see that my "1890s name" is what I named my daughter (with one extra letter).

So give this fun name tool a whirl, find out what yours would have been, and let the kids play too. Try it now!
