Founded by Dr. Jennifer Shaw, Touchpoint Pediatrics in Chatham specializes in comprehensive, family-centered primary care and has been providing a “medical home” for families since 2002.

A Patient-Centered Medical Home

Health care consumer and peer resources have recognized Touchpoint as one of New Jersey’s top pediatric practices. The practice was recently reaccredited by the NCQA, a Washington, DC-based organization dedicated to improving the quality of health care, for meeting the highest level of recognition as a patient-centered medical home. This includes a focus on team-based, coordinated care. “We treat parents as partners in their child’s healthcare team,” Dr. Shaw says.

A board certified, fellowship-trained developmental and behavioral pediatric specialist, Dr. Shaw has extensive experience managing ADHD, autism and learning disorders. Recognized as a New Jersey Family “Favorite Kids’ Docs” pediatrician since inception, the doctors are on staff at Goryeb Children’s Hospital at Morristown Medical Center, Overlook Medical Center and St. Barnabas Medical Center.

Meeting Children’s Medical and Non-Medical Needs

Many physicians entrust the care of their children to Dr. Shaw and her colleagues, who maintain flexible office hours, coordinate care with specialists and follow up with patients. “We treat physical and developmental problems while offering guidance on behavioral and nutritional concerns, sleep problems and sibling rivalry,” she says.

“Communication, education and coordination of care are the cornerstones of our philosophy.” With special expertise in asthma, allergies, prematurity, genetic disorders, digestive and nutritional issues and sports medicine, the pediatricians collaborate to guide families toward healthy habits. “We’re all raising families in this area, so the commitment to being your child’s medical home is one we take very seriously,” Dr. Shaw says.

Dr. Kerrigan is one spectacular doctor! She treats all of her patients as if they are family. She greets us with open arms and hugs, she takes the time to make sure everyone understands what every appointment entails. We have been going to the same office since my oldest son was born, he is now almost 10! She accommodates the fact that we have five children, three of which are triplets, at the same time and does it with ease even though some days it seems to me like chaos. She truly loves what she does and shows it every single day! ~Heather, Linden

My son had a really bad earache on a Sunday morning and Dr. Shaw-Brachfeld was able to see me within the hour. I am so glad she is always there when I need her. ~Lilian, Elizabeth

Dr. Slavin is very thorough and takes his time to answer any of our questions. Whenever we call the office we always get a call back within 15-20 minutes if we need to speak with him. Also we never have to wait long to schedule an appointment or once we arrive at the office either. He is very personable and focused on our son's care. ~Michele, Morris Plains

Dr. Tom is a great physician. She is always available and is super sweet with my son. ~Lilian, Elizabeth

Dr. Corpuz is super nice. She takes time with my child and explains everything in great detail. ~Lilian, Elizabeth

Ms. Roop Is always there when you need advice and is always on point. ~Lilian, Elizabeth
