Red Bulls Arena is about to experience a youth invasion. The 2017 Danone Nation’s Cup is coming to the US for the first time. The biggest global soccer tournament for kids ages 10 through 12 will be an all-day event at the Arena, home of Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls, on Sept. 24.

This is the 18th year the international tournament is being held and for the first time ever, there will also be a girl’s tournament that’s sure to inspire our daughters who love the sport. A total of 33 countries are participating in the tournament—which encompasses 34,000 schools and 11,000 soccer clubs around the world! A whopping 2.5 million kids played in national tournaments this year and 500 will compete in the final in New Jersey.

Last year, Germany won the championship against Japan. They’ll be back again to defend their title against 31 other boys’ teams. The 32 countries competing in this year’s boys’ tournament are Algeria, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, Ghana, Hungary, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Mexico, Morocco, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Sénégal, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia, Uruguay, the UAE and the US. The six countries competing in this inaugural girls’ tournament are Brazil, Canada, France, Italy, Spain and the United States. (Here's hoping even more countries compete in the girls' tournament next year!)

There will also be tons of family-friendly activities and games along with giveaways.
