The Big Apple Circus is making a major comeback at their home, Lincoln Center this fall. The fun begins on October 27 for their 40th Anniversary and will run until January of 2018 before the launch of a national tour. The rebirth of this circus comes under the direction of Neil Kahanovitz, Chairman of BAC, who aims to keep the circus remains a place for good family fun while maintaining its roots.

The BAC is different from other circuses because it’s a one-ring performance, no seat is more than 50 feet from the action and it was inspired by European circus performances and themes. The BAC also believes in doing the right thing, as they’re committed to their no wild animals policy.

The BAC is also dedicated to serving those with physical and mental disabilities. They’ll be debuting the highly anticipated Circus of the Senses, a modified version of the show specifically designed for people with visual, auditory and cognitive challenges. This show will provide them with an experience they’ll never forget. There will be audio descriptive headsets, ASL interpreters, Braille and large print programs so everyone can feel included. This show is also ideal for audience members with autism. The modified performance will include sensory adaptations and have a shorter run time lights and sounds.

For more information about the return of the Big Apple Circus or to purchase tickets, check out their website, or call 855-258-0718. Lincoln Center is located at 10 Lincoln Center Plaza, New York, NY. Tickets range from $35-125.
