Skylands Stadium is home to the Sussex County Miners baseball team over the summer, but in the off season it transforms into a wintry wonderland.

The Christmas Light Show dazzles visitors in the comfort of their cars with more than 2 million lights as they roll through the display. Pass dancing presents, friendly snowmen, toy-lugging trains and more on the mile-long drive-through course (follow us on Instagram to see more!) Best part? Admission is per car, so pile as many people as you (legally) can in your vehicle to get the most bang for your buck.

There’s more holiday cheer aglow after the light show, too. Feel the magic in the Walk-Thru Lightfest benefitting the American Heart Association of New Jersey (don’t forget to donate!), featuring a light tunnel and forest of twinkling white trees.

Head inside after to explore the Christmas Village. This holiday hub has it all: Santa Claus, arts and crafts, carnival games, caroling and even surprise showers of indoor snow (hang out by the entrance to see it fall!) The most obvious feature of the market is the shopping. Peruse everything from artisanal jams to comic book merch to locally-made clothes to exotic meat jerky (yup, you read that right). After all that shopping, snack on cheesecake, fudge or something warm from the food court.

From there, head back outside so the kids can show off their skills on the 20’x40’ synthetic Pompton Sport Center Skating Rink. Once they’re tuckered out, something tasty from the outdoor grilling station and a sweet treat from the Thorlabs S’mores Station at the fire pit. If you want a formal dinner, the wheelHouse Craft Kitchen + Bar is an on-site restaurant the whole crew will enjoy.

Skylands Stadium is located at 94 Championship Pl., Augusta. The drive-through light show and indoor village run through December 30. Check the schedule for specific times and dates.

Tickets for the light show are $17/carload Monday-Thursday and $20/carload Friday-Sunday. Tix are available at the box office (cash or card), select Walgreens locations or at the gate the night of (cash only). Call 973-383-7644 or visit skylandsstadium.com for more information.
