It's Pick-Your-Own Strawberry Time in New Jersey!

Girl picking strawberries in NJUpdated: May 7th, 2013

Strawberry picking season is here! And in New Jersey the pick-your-own strawberry season is short and sweet, lasting about three weeks from mid-May to early June.

Many pick-your-own farms in New Jersey are open now, but some won't open for another week or so. Please call before you go for updates on crop and weather conditions, fees, picking times, and to make sure the farm isn't "picked-out" and closing early as a result.

Don't put the strawberries in a "Green Bag" - I did and did not put them in the refrigerator and they went bad over night! ARGH!!
