Thanking Teachers: Great Teacher Gifts
Updated June 2013
Looking for ideas for great teacher gifts? Here are some clever and cute ones, but according to our Facebook friends, most of all, teachers love to receive gift cards and heartfelt notes from students. As one teacher put it,"It's knowing how I reached [the students] that lasted."
Here are some fun ideas for thoughtful teacher gifts we found on Pinterest:
Package magazines, sunscreen, and beach towels in a fun tote with a note, "Welcome to summer!"
Make a box with cones, sprinkles, candies, and a note with "Just add ice cream!"
Fill a jar with Smarties candies and tie Sharpie pens to the top with ribbon.
Let every child in the class contribute something to decorate the pot, include a flower and "Thanks for helping us bloom!"
Add to a vase of flowers the following touches: magnetic letters, a vintage book, and an apple.
Collect a personal note from every child in the class and put them all in a decorated jar.
And for a little fun, check out this humorous post from a teacher about what gifts she really wants—it sure gave me a chuckle!
