Fall has returned to the Garden State, and so have our favorite family traditions. Get out and enjoy the changing leaves, cooler weather and pumpkin-craze before it's long gone! From haunted wagon rides to pumpkin pageants and scarecrow building, there's some festifall fun for everyone! Check out these New Jersey fall festivals happening across the state this season:


Annual Ciderfest
790 Ewing Ave., Franklin Lakes.
Bring your friends and family for a day of autumn fun with nature hikes, arts and crafts, apple games, and cider-making. Meet special guests, make your own applesauce, or relax by the birdfeeders with a cup of hot cider. 

Halloween in the Meadowlands

Join the staff for hayrides and a spooky walk that will put you in the Halloween mood. Make crafts to eat and some to take home, too.

Camp Glen Gray's Spook-A-Ree
200 Midvale Mountain Rd., Mahwah
Spooky archery, golf, arts and crafts, pumpkin carving, scarecrow-making, a costume parade and a haunted hike.

New Jersey Children's Museum's Too Cute to Spook

Bergen County Fall Harvest Festival & Craft Fair
199 Challenger Rd., Ridgefield Park

Camden Children's Garden's Mum Madness and Pumpkin Parade Family Festival

Celebrate autumn with Camden Children’s Garden’s mascot, Mum Bear, with pumkin crafts, a pumpkin story and pumpkin activities, all set in the blazing colors of the garden’s beautiful chrysanthemums.

Cape May's Pumpkin Festival
720 Route 9 South, Cape May
The Lower Township Rotary Club presents the 21st Annual Pumpkin Festival. have some fall family fun with craft and food vendors, face painting, pumpkin painting, hayrides, a haunted barn, games, activities and more.


Essex County Environmental Center’s OctoberFest
621B Eagle Rock Ave., Roseland
Visitors to OctoberFest can go on canoe trips on the Passaic River or nature walks in Essex County’s West Essex Park. There will be a petting zoo, gardening tips, a live beehive display, woodturning and pumpkin carving demonstrations, and a wide variety of vendors and family activities. 

Presby Memorial Iris Gardens' Gardens Aglow
474 Upper Mountain Ave., Upper Montclair
This annual event includes entertainment, crafts, and spooky stories.


Woodbury's Fall Arts Festival
Broad and Cooper Streets, Woodbury
A weekend of over 300 artists, artisans and craftsmen featuring five stages of free music, gourmet foods, interactive fun for kids and adults, wine and cheese experience, craft beer tasting, art battles, chili-cook-off, cake wars and other creativie fun.


Pumpkin Patch Fest
99 Greene St., Jersey City
The Iron Monkey is kicking off a month of autumn and Halloween events by transforming the rooftop bar into a pumpkin patch. The family-friendly event will feature picking and painting, face painting, goodie bags, and other seasonal activities. 

Stevens Cooperative School Harvest Festival
100 River Rd., Jersey City
The Newport campus of Stevens Cooperative School is celebrating the best of the fall season in Jersey City with family, friends and neighbors. Decorate pumpkins, compete in a cake walk, jump in a moon bounce and listen to live music as you sip apple cider and eat your favorite fall treats.


Black River & Western Railroad's Train Ride to Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch
80 Stangle Rd., Flemington
Take a train ride from Flemington station to Pumpkin Junction where you'll find a corn maze, hay bale maze, picnic area, craft area, petting zoo, carriage rides, a scarecrow display, music and more!


11th Annual Hometown Harvest Fair
177 Mercer St., Hightstown
Celebrate the 11th anniversary of this Hightstown festival featuring arts & crafts, delicious food and live entertainment all day long. A special children’s area offers pony rides, a petting zoo and bouncy houses. And don’t miss the Chili Cook Off, pedal boats, mechanical bulls and Ducky Derby race!


Allentown's Annual Fall Festival
South Main St. and Heritage Park, Allentown
This two-day event will host many vendors including local crafters, artisans, food vendors, fun activities, a classic car show, a petting zoo, music and entertainment, civil war reenactment, and much more!

Holmdel Harvest Festival
41 Middletown Rd., Holmdel
The historical Bayonet Farm hosts a day of family fun, featururing live music, a petting farm, rides, giftware, food, fireworks, beer, wine and fun! 

Fall Harvest Festival and Craft Show
Main Ave., Ocean Grove
Ocean Grove's Fall Harvest Festival will feature over 100 crafters, sidewalk sales, a variety of food to enjoy and live music all day.


Downtown Chester's Annual Harvest Celebration
Main St., Chester
Pumpkin painting, a pet costume contest, a scarecrow contest, colonial musketeers, and more free family fun.

Imagine That!!!'s Halloween Events and Spooktacular Night
4 Vreeland Rd., Florham Park
Select weekends in October, make crafts like a black cat or a spooky spider. While you're there, check out the outdoor maze. On the evening of Oct. 25, come in costume for Spooktacular Night.

Mount Olive Library FallFest

This year’s Mount Olive Public Library FallFest includes a new interactive discovery zone, where guests can learn about Native American culture, interact with a real “Ghost Buster” who will share information and items from local paranormal investigations and find out if Big Foot really exists.

Take a ride on the Pumpkin-liner excursion train, meet Stormy the Scarecrow, shop the Pumpkin Marketplace Crafts Fair, and pose in front of the haunted house.


New Jersey Botanical Garden's Harvest Fest
2 Morris Rd., Ringwood
A fun-filled family weekend! Hayrides, pumpkin painting, face painting, storytellers, tasty food, music and dancing, fun photo ops, Garden tours and lots more! Plus an autumn plant sale and an Artisan craft fair with many hand-made items.


10th Annual South Jersey Pumpkin Show
735 Harding Highway, Woodstown
Cheer on the competitors in the Little Miss & Mister Pumpkin Show Pageant, sample scrumptious treats at the Pumpkin Dessert Contest and visit the Friendly Boo Barn. Other activities include a decorated stroller/wagon parade, scarecrow contest, hay rides and fall crafts for kids. 


The Lord Stirling 1770s Festival

Wagner Farm Arboretum's Brite Nites

Crystal Springs Resort Harvest Festival

Harvest, Honey and Garlic Festival
37 Plains Rd., Augusta
The 4th annual Sussex County Harvest, Honey and Garlic Festival, held at the Sussex County Fairgrounds, celebrates agritourism, ecotourism and arts & heritage tourism. The County of Sussex, the Sussex County Beekeepers Association and the Garden State Garlic Growers are joining with the Sussex County Farm and Horse Show to showcase New Jersey's great northwest, with fresh fruit and vegetable vendors, along with family-fun activities. 

The Great Pumpkin Festival

Heaven Hill Farm’s Pumpkin Festival features U-Pick pumpkins, old-fashioned hayrides, an all-new wild west adventure corn maze, pig racing and more.Additional activities include gem mining, sand art, carnvival and pony rides, and face painting.


Berkeley Heights YMCA's Halloween Spooktacular

Take a haunted wagon ride, make your way through a giant spider-web maze, make Halloween crafts, play a "guess the monster part" game, and more festive fun!

Trailside Nature and Science Center's Harvest Festival
452 New Providence Rd., Mountainside
The 32nd Annual Harvest Festival will feature ongoing music and entertainment, storytelling, Native American Lodge and Artifact Display, Petting Zoo, Children’s Games and Crafts, Pony Rides, Scarecrow Building and much, much, more fun for the entire family.

Reeves-Reed Arboretum's Fall Goes Country
165 Hobart Ave., Summit
Come on down for country fair food, crafts, games, a petting zoo, a Halloween costume parade, "spooky" trail, and pumpkin-carving contest.

Summit YMCA's Haunted Tour

Walk the haunted trail, where you'll be lead through a graveyard filled with zombies and grave diggers. For fun without the fright, head to the gym for Halloween games, face painting, arts and crafts, and snacks.

Liberty Hall Museum's Pumpkin Patch Day

Miller-Cory House Museum's Halloween Hocus Pocus

Westfield's 24th Annual FestiFall
East Broad St., Westfield
Watch the streets of downtown westfield transform into a fall festival at the 24th annual FestiFall. Shop from a wide variety of vendors, listen to live music and enjoy crafts with the kids. New this year and two ride ticket booths and two bungee trampolines.
