National Margarita Day is almost here! One of our faves, this classic cocktail is a mix of tequila, triple sec and lime juice, most simply. But you can get them frozen, flavored with fruit puree, spicy, blue and more. Call the sitter and sip one of your faves somewhere local this Thursday, Feb 22.

These Jersey spots have National Margarita Day specials:

Bahama Breeze

Cherry Hill, Paramus, Princeton, Toms River, Wayne, Woodbridge

This island-inspired grille is going all-out with $2.22 margaritas (the gorgeous hibiscus marg is a must). And that’s just the beginning: The Viva la ’Rita campaign runs from February 22-April 8. That means there are tasty surprises to come!

Blue Moon Mexican Café

Englewood, Woodcliff Lake, Wyckoff

Celebrate the restaurant’s 18th anniversary with a Corona happy hour 4-6 pm, apps from 4-7 pm and $5 margs all day long. Options include the Skinny Margarita, made simply with agave nectar and fresh lime juice, and The Wolf, made with OJ and jalapeños.

Dog and Cask

Rochelle Park

$3 margaritas are being poured all day long. Pair it with an order of famous Dog and Cask potato chips, or black bean chorizo taquitos if you want to stay in the spirit.

Landshark Bar & Grill

Atlantic City

Make it to the shore early this year for $3.99 margaritas, Margarita University and a big toast at 5 pm you won’t want to miss.

On the Border

Mt. Laurel, New Brunswick, Paramus, Princeton, West Windsor, Woodland Park

Not only can you get $2 margaritas on the holiday; you can get them every day leading up to the 22nd, too!

Pancho’s Burritos

New Milford, Nutley

Happy hour at Pancho’s is all day, every day at the New Milford location. That means epic deals on margaritas (frozen or rocks, flavored or classic) on the 22nd and beyond. But National Margarita Day has even sweeter deals: $2 margs and 99-cent tequila shots.

Can’t make it out the 22nd? No worries; these spots have food (and drink specials) worth checking out all year round.

Barrio Costero

Asbury Park

Every weekday but Wednesday from 4-7 pm plus Saturday and Sunday from noon-5 pm, this spot is slinging $6 margaritas and sangria, $5 drafts and house wine, $3 Pacifico and Negra Modelo. Thursdays are the best bang for your buck, though; the specials last all night!

Escondido Mexican Cuisine and Tequila Bar

Freehold

Head here any Thursday for $3 house margaritas. Go during happy hour (3-6 pm or 9-close) for $5 apps like coconut shrimp, guacamole or chicken flautas, plus a ton of beer specials.

Jose Tejas

Fairfield, Iselin

This is a go-to margarita spot serves up authentic tex-mex and cajun cuisine. Pair your cocktail with Louisiana catfish, andouille sausage or fajitas.

La Fortaleza

Garfield

This spot’s walls, tables, bar and chairs are covered in signs, paintings, sugar skulls and more, giving the ambiance an authentic touch. Margs here come in clay jarritos instead of regular glasses.

Órale Mexican Kitchen

Jersey City

This spot takes Thirsty Thursdays seriously with happy hour that lasts all night long. Best part? Órale has a huge tequila selection (from silver to anejo to reposado), plus a variety of mezcal.

River and Rail Cantina

Cranford

Monday through Friday from 11:30 am-7 pm, you can get half-off house margaritas, not to mention $6 house vino, $4 drafts and $3 frozen shooters.

Rosa Mexicano

Hackensack

This Riverside Square staple has Hora Feliz from 4-7 pm Monday through Friday. Snag $8 cocktails (think frozen margaritas with mango and organic agave) or $6 sangria.

Tio Juan’s Margaritas

Toms River

Every weekday but Tuesday is Margarita Prime Time. You can get house margs for $5, beer specials and $6 apps from 3-6 pm.

Villa Tequila Bar and Cocina

Roselle

Cinco de Wednesday has it all: $5 margaritas, Long Islands and shots, plus $5 apps like tostones de ropa vieja and chicharrones de pollo. Break out one of the board games available for play while you eat and drink.

Viva Margarita

Cliffside Park

Margarita Mondays are a permanent way to get your tequila on. Week after week you can enjoy $3 house and $6 Patron margs.

If going out on a Thursday night is a long shot, consider ordering in from Titos Burritos or another spot near you. Treat yourself even more by shaking up your own margarita at home.
