Homemade Carrot Hummus Baby Food

Description:

The hummus recipe and photo are used with permission from Jennifer Lula of Jen Loves Kev.

Ingredients: 1 cup chickpeas (cooked or canned)
1 cup carrots (steamed and very soft)
1/4–1/2 clove of garlic
2–4 T. olive oil
1 t. lemon juice
salt to taste
Directions: 1. Place all ingredients, except olive oil, in a food processor and purée. Scrape down the sides and mix.
2. Through the hole at the top of the food processor, add olive oil until the hummus is smooth.
3. Taste and add salt if needed.
