Break a preemptive sweat with your crew on November 22 at a local turkey trot. 

Somerset County 5K Turkey Trot

November 11
Colonial Park, Somerset
10 am-noon

Rain or shine, you don't have to wait until Thanksgiving to start burning off calories for that massive meal. Bonus: you'll have the entire day of Thanksgiving to cook your bird.

Two-Towns Turkey Trot 5K and Kids' Fun Run

November 17
Crest Dr., Maplewood
9 am/5K, 10 am/fun run

Show the kids how its done at the 5K and watch them handle some friendly competition at the kids' fun run, which will have prizes for each age group (an an awards ceremony!).

5K Stampede through Clifton

November 18
Lester Herrschaft Center, Clifton

9-11 am

Lace up your running shoes and go for gold. Races will be divided by age groups and awards will be given to top three racers, then stick around to win a raffle, gobble snacks, listen to music and more.

Great Swamp Devil Race 5K and 15K

11 am

Whether you're in it to burn calories or have a good time, choose between either a 5K or 15K, and if you're in it for the Thanksgiving glory, awards will be given out to the top overall racers. There'll also be medals awarded for each age group and commemorative long-sleeve t-shirts.

Vernon's 2nd Annual Turkey Trot

Vernon will host its second annual run to raise funds in support of the Harvest House Food Pantry and Soup Kitchen (don’t forget to donate a nonperishable!). 

Ashenfelter 8K Classic & The Tom Fleming Mile

8:15 am/mile, 9 am/8K

Both the 8K Classic and One Mile Run benefit the Glen Ridge Educational Foundation and honors heroes Horace Ashenfelter, who won the steeplechase event at the 1952 Olympic Games and Tom Fleming, who won the 1973 and 1975 New York City Marathons.

Krogh's Annual Turkey Trot

Spend the morning with other community members, while also helping donate to Sparta Public Schools. Before you beginning cooking for the day, this annual turkey trot invites you to walk, run, jog, skip or trot with your 5-and-uppers.

6th Annual Mercer County Turkey Trot

2018 CEA/Johanna Foods Turkey Trot

Choose a 5K run or two-mile walk at this 26-year tradition. All proceeds benefit career pathways and community employment for students and adults with disabilities.
