At Edgewater Pediatric Dentistry, Drs. Rosalie Nguyen and Fatina Shtivelman
make kids feel at home while providing dental treatment with the latest
“We take the time to answer questions and educate our patients and parents,” says Dr. Nguyen, a mother of three boys who treats every child as one of her own.
Dr. Nguyen has advanced specialized training with nitrous oxide analgesia, in-office oral and IV sedation, and general anesthesia. She maintains hospital
privileges at Hackensack University Medical Center.
Edgewater Pediatric Dentistry uses the most up-to date techniques in their modern, all-digital practice.
Patients are often referred from other pediatric dentists due to their array of treatment modalities.
Both doctors have extensive training in working with special needs children. Dr. Nguyen, a board certified pediatric dentist, received her dental
degree from UMDNJ and completed a general practice residency at St. Joseph’s Children Hospital.
She served as chief resident at St. Barnabas Hospital, where she completed her pediatric dental residency and cared for patients with physical and
developmental disabilities at the Rose F. Kennedy Center.
Dr. Shtivelman, a board-certified pediatric dentist, earned her DDS from SUNY Buffalo and pursued her general practice residency training at Staten Island University Hospital. She cared for patients with disabilities and special needs during a fellowship at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. She completed her pediatric specialty training at Stony Brook and served as chief resident. She is an attending at Lutheran Medical Center, and enjoys teaching the residents.
“Our training allows us to accommodate the needs of all our patients, and we work hard to create a fun, relaxed environment for them,” Dr. Shtivelman says.
