The Center is open year round, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Full time and part time child care services for children ages 18 months to 6, as well as a full day kindergarten program are offered. Freshly prepared food is served three times daily, including a hot lunch served "family style" in our dining room.
Toddler and Preschool Program
Our toddler and preschool curriculum provides opportunities for social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth. The children participate daily in a variety of age-appropriate activities involving science, cooking, music, art, creative play, math, language and reading readiness. An important aspect of our program is outdoor play - the children get outside twice a day whenever the weather permits. Our goal is for each child to learn self-reliance, independence, self-esteem, as well as respect for others in a secure and nurturing environment.
Our kindergarten program is a full day program from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Children may come as early as 7:00 a.m. and stay as late as 6:00 p.m. Our curriculum is based on the objectives of the Westfield school system and covers Math, Language Arts, Social Sciences, Science and Art. Our kindergarteners also participate in our other programs including Spanish, Music, Physical Fitness and enjoy ample time for creative play. Our goal is to build self-esteem and self-confidence while nurturing curiosity and the joy of learning within each child. We respect the individual needs of each child and family, and strive to foster respect for oneself and others. Our kindergarteners leave our program as self-confident, happy, creative, and independent children who are ready to enter first grade.
