Description:

Housed in the Louis and Emily Slater Youth and Education Center of Temple B'nai Abraham, 300 E. Northfield Road, Livingston, The Early School, an early childhood program for toddlers to age 5, is a child's first formal learning experience involving progressive development in which each level has its own age-specific program and goals. We offer before and after care hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. All Early School programs welcome members and nonmembers. The Early School offers a comprehensive *STEAM based early childhood curriculum (*Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics), including Spanish, reading readiness, writing, movement and music and extended day activities. The Two's, Three's and K-Ready classes for 4- and 5-year-olds meet Mondays to Fridays. The Early Two’s program, for children who have turned two years old by March 31, focuses on separation, language development, social development and gross and fine motor skills. This takes place in a nurturing environment that builds on the child’s self-esteem, identity and self-confidence. The Tot Time program, for parents/caregivers and their children ages 12 to 23 months, is an innovative, offered on Tuesdays, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.

The Early School Camp, with our spectacular Splash Pad Park, is a great place to be for seven weeks during the summer, Monday to Friday, for 2- to 5-year-olds. Tot Time Camp, a program for parents with toddlers ages 12 to 23 months which is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, in July and August, is an opportunity for parents and their young children to interact in a camp setting.
