Now more than ever, it is vital for children to develop a sense of place and love for the natural world. For 32 years, The Nature Place Day Camp has provided children from Rockland, Bergen, Westchester, and New York City the opportunity to foster these values by cultivating cooperation rather than competition with peers, by allowing space for individual expression, and through creative, outdoor activity.
At the Nature Place, Campers discover hands-on, pressure-free programming and an exceptionally well-trained and caring staff. With 200 acres of farm, fields, swamps, and gardens to explore, each camper's sense of wonder toward the natural world is encouraged through a variety of activities including gardening, cooking, swimming, earth art, games, hiking, music, drama, storytelling, farming, and more.
At The Nature Place campers can be themselves, with their friends, in the great outdoors.
