Jeff Lake Camp is nestled in a valley between beautiful mountains and a 50-acre lake in Stanhope, New Jersey. Family owned for 54 years, we service campers grades preschool through 10th grade from Essex, Morris, Union, Somerset and Sussex Counties with door to door transportation.

A summer at Jeff Lake is a summer of self discovery. Guided by our dedicated staff, campers have a variety of experiences that build self-confidence, develop leadership and foster teamwork. Jeff Lake counselors understand that encouragement and accomplishment are vital to each child’s growth.

Jeff Lake prides itself on a stellar reputation for its top-rated swim program. Our campers receive small group instruction by certified lifeguards in our 5 heated pools. The commitment to teaching campers the life-long sport of swimming continues to be a hallmark of our diverse program.

Our 50-acre natural lake is the perfect setting for boating, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, and fishing. Campers enjoy splashing off our Lake Water Slide and jumping on our two 35 foot Water Trampolines.

The Jeff Lake sports program includes instruction in softball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, tennis, archery and volleyball. Our brand new Gymnastics Pavilion and Dance Studio enhance our programming. The creative talents of our campers are nurtured through our Arts curriculum which includes pottery, traditional Arts and Crafts and our Native American Crafts program, Sundance and drama. Our High and Low Ropes Course, Mountain Biking and Go Carts add to the adventure of the Jeff Lake experience.

Freshman Campus offers an intimate environment for our youngest campers ages 3-5years. Set apart from the hustle and bustle of upper camp, it provides a warm and secure environment for our youngest campers to begin their camp experience. We believe that small kids can do big things! Our Freshman Campers will catch their first fish, hit their first tennis ball, and swim with confidence and skill.

Kids have fun at Jeff Lakes! Our spirit and energy are contagious. No camper sits on the sidelines. We are an active and high energy environment. Children play and grow in a culture that has campers coming back as counselors, counselors becoming parents and the cycle of Jeff Lake begins all over again.
