Touchpoint Pediatrics in Chatham, NJ

From left to right: Drs. Slavin, Shaw, Kerrigan, & Tom

Touchpoint Pediatrics in Chatham was providing a “medical home” for families long before the term became a catchphrase. Founded in 2002, the dynamic practice specializes in comprehensive, family-centered primary care through the proactive approach taken by the doctors. The Touchpoint team is cited in many healthcare consumer and peer resources as one of the top pediatric practices in New Jersey.

Many physicians and other highly educated professionals entrust the care of their children to Dr. Shaw, the practice owner, and her colleagues. “We maintain an open dialogue with parents to help them make informed decisions,” she says.  “Coordination of care is very important; parents want a doctor who’s willing to offer guidance on behavioral and nutritional concerns, sleep problems, or sibling rivalry.”

Dr. Shaw is one of the first board-certified developmental and behavioral specialists in the country. She has extensive experience managing ADHD, autism, and learning disorders; in fact, Touchpoint is one of the first practices in the country to offer objective interactive ADHD computerized testing.

All the doctors at Touchpoint are on the attending staff at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Overlook Hospital, and St. Barnabas Medical Center.

“We’re local moms and dads, and that makes us better doctors. We’re experiencing the same things as our patients’ families, and we’re always happy to see them on the soccer field and at school concerts,” Dr. Shaw says. “We believe parents know what is best for their children and their family and as good pediatricians, we must truly listen and validate the concerns of our patients and parents.”
