Dr. Michelle M. Backhaus channels her love for children and her passion for dentistry into her practice at Central Jersey Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics, LLC. Her goal is to provide exceptional care in a family-based, child-centered, modern practice.
“Every child is an individual, and I always try to cater to each of their needs,” says the mother of one, who practices alongside her husband, orthodontist Dr. Christopher R. Overcash.
Her practice offers preventative and restorative care, comprehensive orthodontics, as well as sedation and hospital dentistry with the help of cutting-edge technology including the use of digital radiographs and lasers.
Dr. Backhaus earned her DMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and her certificate in pediatric dentistry from NYU. She maintains hospital privileges at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
“I love what I do,” she says. “Every day is a different adventure.”
