Better known to patients and parents as “Dr. Mike,” Dr. Michael Lateiner is a board-certified pediatric dentist and founder of Newton-Sparta Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. Calling himself “a big kid,” Dr. Lateiner provides painless oral care to infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special needs in a fun and relaxed environment.
“I want to give kids a positive experience, and keep treatment as stress-free as possible,” he says. “It’s important that we always try to have some fun.”
Dr. Lateiner graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University and received his DMD degree from UMDNJ, where he earned his specialty in pediatric dentistry and MS degree in dentistry. He serves on staff at Morristown Medical Center, where he teaches dental residents.
Dr. Lateiner is a member of professional associations including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and New Jersey Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, among others.
