Mark Rieger, MD
Pediatric Orthopedics

Known for his commitment to excellence among both patients and colleagues, Dr. Mark Rieger provides the highest level of care to young people with bone and joint injuries and disorders. Dr. Rieger is the founder of The Orthopedic Center, one of the largest pediatric orthopedic practices in the state.
A nationally-recognized leader in pediatric orthopedics, he utilizes the least invasive techniques possible; when necessary, however, he is renowned for using the most innovative surgical techniques. His expertise is matched by his compassion for his patients and their families, treating all children as if they were his own.
Widely regarded as an innovator, Dr. Rieger was the first to implement many groundbreaking treatments in pediatric orthopedics. He was the first doctor in New Jersey to perform endoscopic scoliosis spine surgery; to become certified in the non-surgical Ponsetti technique for clubfoot; and to use ultrasounds to evaluate developmental dysplasia of the hip in newborns.
He served as the first division chief of pediatric orthopedics at Morristown Memorial Hospital, and as a physician for many local sports teams. In addition to Dr. Rieger’s expertise in the treatment of scoliosis, hip dysplasia, and clubfoot, his specialties include trauma and sports medicine.
“I treat my patients like family and perform cutting-edge treatments to provide them with the best possible care, help them recover faster, and return them to the life they love,” says Dr. Rieger.
