Donald Putman, MD, FACC
Pediatric Cardiology

Founder of Metro Pediatric Cardiology Associates, Dr. Donald Putman is known for his upbeat, engaging approach, and tries to keep visits stress-free for kids and their parents.
“We do a lot of talking. We’ve never had anyone complain that we didn’t answer their questions, or they didn’t have enough time with their physician,” says the board-certified pediatric cardiologist.
The practice’s specialties include fetal cardiology, congenital heart disease, and acquired and suspected cardiac disease in children. Along with Dr. Jared LaCorte, Dr. Putman performs non-invasive studies, including in-office electrocardiograms and echocardiograms, and provides referrals for cardiac catheterization and pediatric cardiac surgery.
A father of three, Dr. Putman completed his residency and fellowship at NYU. He is division chief of pediatric cardiology and medical director of the Matthew J. Morahan III Center cardiac assessment and screening at St. Barnabas Medical Center. Dr. Putman serves on staff at many area hospitals.
