Description

Come meet Dryptosaurus, the eastern cousin of T-rex! Dryptosaurus was the second nearly complete dinosaur ever found (after Hadrosaurus), and it was found in New Jersey! The animal was approximately 25 feet long with an 8 inch claw on each finger. The Museum is unveiling a new long term Natural History Hall exhibition, "Written in the Rocks: Fossil Tales from New Jersey", featuring two full size dryptosaurs; the world's first mounting for display of dryptosaurs!
