Wild and Wooly Festival at the Prospect Park Zoo

Sheep Shearing: Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and 20

(Activities each weekend in May)

11 a.m. to 4 p.m.


The Prospect Park Zoo’s Jacob’s four-horned sheep and Shetland sheep will receive their annual shearing onMay 19 and 20, and the Wild and Wooly Festival will continue each weekend in May.


Farming and farm life will be the event theme. A special photo display and conservation station will encourage visitors to learn how WCS is working with communities around the world to create sustainable fiber production practices that are not harmful to wildlife. Fiber crafts and farm-themed games are among the planned activities.
