Description

The 3rd Annual Watershed Trail Run helps to support the efforts of the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association. We’ve been protecting and restoring clean water and healthy habitats in central New Jersey since 1949. Thank you for helping us keep your water clean, safe, and healthy.

All fitness levels are welcome to participate. Activities are available for the whole family. The 5K & 10K routes are designed to tour the the 950 acre Watershed Reserve with views of meadow and forest, including Wargo pond, and the Honey Brook Organic Farm. Trails are evenly graded with occasional roots, rocks, and mud hazards.

Family and friends can cheer you on from the victory village, tour the Watershed Center, and listen to live music by our race day band, “The Dadz”. Enjoy exhibits, sponsors, and vendors featuring giveaways and activities like yoga and nutrition demonstrations.

The festival is complete with River Horse beer, wine, and Ironbound Hard Cider available for purchase as well as delicious local food by Antimo’s Italian Kitchen and desserts from Nina’s Waffles. Complimentary snacks, fruit, beverages, and water coolers are available for runners completing their race.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top overall male and female finishers in the 10K and 5K. Runners will also be recognized by age group in each category. You must be present to receive a prize.

We offer supervised childcare starting at 12:30 p.m. while a parent is running the trail. There is a $10 fee per child and pre-registration is required. The kids will enjoy a Yoga Workshop & Book Reading of “SonnyBee Learns Ahimsa” by Authors Swami Cat and SonnyBee. A free kids event will take place at 2:30 p.m. after the main races conclude.
