Sparta Day 2017

Sep 23, 2017
10:00 AM until 04:00 PM

Sparta Day returns to Station Park Saturday, September 23rd from 10AM – 4PM. This year’s event will be packed with activities and entertainment for the whole family, as well as 100+ vendors and an expanded food plaza. Sparta Day Title Sponsor Franklin Sussex Auto Mall has made it possible for JWCS to provide a main stage area to showcase local talent and entertainment. In addition to live entertainment and shopping, this year’s expanded food plaza, sponsored by Culligan Water Conditioning, will offer delicious options for everyone, for lunch, snacks and special treats. Kid’s Country, sponsored by Harte Orthodontics, will be back again, and thanks to local supporters there is so much to enjoy for free in this space dedicated to fun for children. They can bounce and slide on huge inflatables, play mini-golf, take silly pictures in the photo booth, dance along with the DJ, and more. Children that love big vehicles will be excited to get up close to a fire truck, ambulance, town dump truck, and a helicopter, plus witness a Jaws of Life demonstration. There will be an enthusiastic line-up of dunk tank volunteers just waiting to get soaked! And soccer fans can partake in mini training clinics with the Sparta Soccer Club and the New York Red Bulls. Get your free Sparta Day Tote Bag, sponsored by Eastern Propane, near event entrances or at the JWCS booth. The totes are filled with valuable coupons, information, and giveaways from area businesses. Visitors can stop by the JWCS booth for Sparta Day maps and event information. Sparta Day is organized entirely by volunteers from the Junior Woman’s Club of Sparta. Visit the JWCS booth as the club commemorates its 50th anniversary this year. This event could not take place without the support of Sparta Parks & Recreation and JWCS community sponsors including: Franklin Sussex Auto Mall, Culligan Water Conditioning, Harte Orthodontics, Eastern Propane, Wellness Pediatrics, The Goddard School, Stop & Shop, The Highlands Veterinary Hospital, Weichert Realtors, Integrity Dental, Kessler Rehabilitation Center, Dr. Joseph Lohner, Dr. Derek Noonan and Kiddie Academy. JWCS is comprised of women from Sparta and surrounding towns that have come together as friends to foster goodwill and provide events and activities to bring the community together. Each year the JWCS raises and distributes thousands of dollars to local and national non-profit organizations.
