Solar Eclipse Party

Aug 21, 2017
01:00 PM until 05:00 PM

Join a park ranger and S.T.A.R. Astronomy to view the solar eclipse. A solar eclipse happens when the moon completely blocks out the sun, revealing the sun's outer atmosphere called the corona. This is a rare event as the last solar eclipse visible in the continental United States was in 1979 and the next one will take place in 2024. Rangers and astronomers will share with visitors how to safely enjoy the solar eclipse. FREE.
