The goal is to learn to control worry and anxiety and replace it with confidence for their path to graduation and the career of their dreams. The course will discuss: setting and accomplishing goals, time management, determining your own learning styles and tools to measure them, comprehending the difference between emotional intelligence, becoming a critical thinker, reading to learn effectively through summary techniques for assignments and studying, learning techniques and note taking in the classroom to make the most of lectures/labs, efficient studying and test taking, discovering literacy and communication to gather appropriate research resources, understanding diversity, budgeting students’ monies, establishing healthy relationships, assimilating to campus life as a commuter or resident, and becoming engaged on campus through the Student Government Association’s clubs and activities. The students will leave with materials in the toolkit for their academic success.
