Just imagine--it's 1841 and you decide to make a journey from the American frontier to California to make a better life for yourself. The trip is two thousand miles, and it will take you six months through the desolate prairie, treacherous mountains, and unforgiving desert. You'll be traveling entirely through unsettled lands--no towns to stop in for resupply or rest. You have to make it on just the handful of things you can fit in your wagon train and live off the land. Join Ruth Ochs and the Westminster Community Orchestra, with soloists Kathee Zenn, soprano; Miranda Lammers, mezzo-soprano; Jeremy Blossey, tenor, and Martin Hargrove, bass-baritone, plus Nancy Froysland-Hoerl, narrator; the Glassbrook Vocal Ensemble (Chaequan Anderson, director), and the Westminster Community Chorus (Sinhaeng Lee, conductor) for this epic musical adventure. This special performance, sponsored by the Patriots Arts Coalition, will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 10 in Patriots Theater at the War Memorial in Trenton. The performance is FREE (donations will be accepted). Please visit www.CommunityMusical.com for ticket information.
