On Tuesday, May 1st, 2018 at 7PM, the Museum proudly host its Annual May Day Festival featuring performances by George Mann with Marty Confurius and Al Podber, the New Jersey Industrial Union Council (IUC) "Solidarity Singers, Harmonic Insurgence Choir, under the direction of Eugene Glickman, and lyric soprano Annamaria Stefanelli.
George Mann (www.georgemannmusic.com), a union organizer, performs concerts that are part sing-along and part history lesson. During this year's May Day Festival, Mr. Mann will present a tribute to Bruce Duncan "Utah" Phillips, a American labor organizer, folk singer, believer in the power of direct action, and a promoter of the Industrial Workers of the World union. Annamaria Stefanelli (www.annamariastefanelli.com) is recognized for her strong dramatic presence and true Italian lyric soprano sound.
Light refreshments will be served, tours of the Museum will be offered, and shopping in the Museum Store will be available. There is an admission fee of $10. per person.
