This interactive culinary nutrition program will nurture curiosity around the science of food while introducing some basic culinary skills and concepts. Gain kitchen confidence and knowledge while you answer questions like, “How do we taste sweet foods?” “How does smell affect our ability to taste?” “What happens when chocolate goes from liquid to solid?” Explore these questions and more through experiential cooking lessons! The last day of camp will include a “Chopped”-style activity where teams will create a recipe with mystery ingredients and share it with their fellow campers! Cost includes lunch (menu to be provided in advance). Facilitator: Chef Julie Harrington, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist at Living Plate Education and Counseling Center in Far Hills
