Honoring its commitment to creating a culture in which diversity and inclusion are integral to everyday operations, the Summit Area Y is pleased to be hosting the Holi Color Festival for its second year! The Sumimt Area YMCA encourages all nationalities and ethnicities to participate in this highly energetic and fun color festival held on the Village Green in Summit (Broad Street between Maple and Summit Avenue) on Saturday June 2, 2018 from 11:00 am – 2:00. There will be a host of traditional activities including Masala Bhangra Dancing, a DJ playing Bollywood Music, and the signature event-- the throwing of color! We will be using Gulal, a non-toxic colored power made from corn starch/rice flour, which is eco-friendly and biodegradable. Delicious Indian food will also be available for purchase. This is a free event but colors are available for purchase. Also, dressing in white is recommended.
