The Montclair branch of the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF), the premiere destination for French language and cultures in the tri-state area, and Montclair Film are thrilled to present Festinema Junior in New Jersey for the first time!
A nationwide French film festival and educational program designed for children and teens, Festinema Junior was created by the Alliance Française network in the United States. Through the power of cinema, the festival aims to inspire young audiences and spark their curiosity about cultures around the world.

This year’s festival includes the award-winning animated series The Four Seasons of Léon (Les quatre saisons de Léon) from Pierre-Luc Granjon, Pascal Le Notre, and Antoine Lanciaux (ages 4–6); the animated classic The King and the Mockingbird (Le roi et l’oiseau) by Paul Grimault and Jacques Prévert (ages 7–12); Polina (Polina, danser sa vie), the exuberant story of a young Russian ballerina coming of age in France, from Angelin Preljocaj (ages 13–15); and the infectious, César-nominated teen documentary Swagger, by Olivier Babinet (ages 16–18).
