Cost: $60 (includes lunch).
Join us for a visit to Philadelphia’s famous prison, Eastern State Penitentiary. In 1829 Eastern State Penitentiary opened, becoming one of the most expensive American buildings of its day, and soon the most famous prison in the world. Over the years there have been many escapes, riots, and of course, some very famous prisoners. Join us in exploring the history of the Eastern State Penitentiary with a guided tour and then lunch at Jack’s Firehouse Restaurant, which is situated in a 19th century firehouse, across the street. Lunch will include soup or salad, choice of five different entrées, dessert, and soft drinks. Transport is by Parks van.
