Help us celebrate the one, the only, Planet Earth! This year, we are moving to an afternoon/evening festival celebrating New Jersey native wildlife. At 3:00, enjoy an “April pole” song and dance to thank the Earth for what it has provided. Learn about wildlife movement and habitat connectivity at our film screening at 5:00. Local producer Jared Flesher will show us two episodes of The Creature Show, focused on the state of bobcats and salamanders in New Jersey, and he will then lead us in a discussion on habitat connectivity. Take a hike around the park with our affiliate, the Hunterdon Hiking Club. Many of the traditional Earth Day activities will be back, including 4-H clubs. Enjoy a variety of crafts and recycled building challenges for all ages. We will also be hosting a Pond Paddle on the Echo Hill Pond with our affiliate, the Hunterdon County Canoe Club. Free tickets are required for a timeslot and are available that day on a first come/first served basis. The evening will conclude with a campfire and s’mores at 7:00!
