Description

This five week Algebra Review course meets once a week to provide a thorough review of elementary algebra concepts. Topics include exponents, polynomials, factoring, solving first degree equations and inequalities, rational and radical expressions, quadratic equations, techniques of graphing, systems of equations and applications. Students will gain experience in solving both applied and non-applied problems. The course is ideal for students who would like to brush up on their algebra skills and thus be ready to take our math placement test. Prerequisite: Student must have completed at least one year of high school algebra, and have a letter from his or her guidance counselor confirming that the student needs basic algebra remediation.
