The 17th Annual Butterfly Festival at the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association, August 12, 2017 from 10 am – 4 pm. Tickets available at gate or on our website https://thewatershed.org/product/watershed-butterfly-festival/ Featuring Kate Gorrie Butterfly House and held on the 930-acre Watershed Reserve in Hopewell Township, NJ, the Butterfly Festival is the largest annual educational event at the Watershed. It is an enlightening day focusing on the importance of maintaining the delicate balance between humans and the natural world. This family-oriented day has grown to be a major regional event, attracting more than 3,000 visitors. The day will feature new and exciting ways in which the Watershed is fulfilling its mission to protect the environment and clean water. Join the staff and volunteers at the Shed in modeling ways to participate in the process of keeping our earth green and provide examples of planet-friendly choices to help support greener-living. Wear your wings and join us in the Butterfly Parade! The festival will feature local crafts and business vendors. There will be opportunities to learn new and innovative ways to protect clean water and the environment, and enjoy great food, music, beer garden and activities for the whole family!
