Tell us about your business. I’m a professional photographer helping women entrepreneurs create powerful visual brands and grow their businesses faster. I’m passionate about empowering women to finally be the face of their brands and stand out as leaders.
What inspired the idea? Ten years ago, I started taking photos of my sons to share with faraway family. Soon after, it turned into a family portrait business, then eventually evolved into brand photography for women in business. I love working with women and helping them share their stories with confidence.
How do you differentiate your business? I use strategy, storytelling and photography to help my clients stand out. Their branding photos are much more than just pretty pictures, but photo stories with substance and depth.
What’s the hardest part of juggling the kids and being your own boss? Managing home, hubby, kids, clients and a business is chaotic! When you work from home, the delineation between business and family is blurred—you can find yourself pulled in all sorts of directions.
What’s your best advice for parents looking to start their own businesses? Find your tribe. Your mompreneur lifestyle won’t be understood by everyone. Look for like-minded moms who share your passion and drive for business and family. Create a network of support so you not only keep your sanity, but grow your business, as well.
