Fourteen brands of water bottles were recalled on Monday, June 22, by Niagara Bottling for being potentially contaminated with E.coli. The warning mainly affects shoppers in big supermarkets buying store brands from places like Stop & Shop, ShopRite and Acme.

Trying to determine if your bottles are in danger? Check to see if they have a code beginning with A or F, and if they were bottled between June 10 and 18. If so, there is a chance that they could be affected.

To date, there have been no reports of anyone becoming ill due to the contaminations, but E.coli bacteria, a result of waste in the water, can cause symptoms like diarrhea, nausea and cramps.

The brands affected by the recall are Acadia, Acme, Big Y, Best Yet, Morning Fresh, Niagara, Nature’s Place, Pricerite, Shaws, Shoprite, Superchill, Wegmans, Western Beef Blue and 7-11.
