Labor Day Parades in NJ

Where to get marchin' in the Garden State.




Labor Day is Monday, September 3 this year, and whether you’re celebrating with the kiddos or family friends, everyone loves a parade! Here’s a list of our fave local parades to keep you marchin’ on.  

American Labor Museum Labor Day Parade

Where: 83 Norwood St., Haledon
Deets: Celebrate Labor Day with the American Labor Museum and Botto House National Landmark at their Annual Labor Day Parade. The museum will be open to visitors before the parade’s step off on September 2 at 1:30 pm.

Annual Mendham Borough Labor Day Parade

Where: East Main St. and Mountain Ave., Mendham
Deets: This annual parade starts at East Main St. and runs along Mountain Ave. Be sure to stand by the gazebo for a great view of the festivities. Stick around for carnival games and a nightly firework show. Runs August 31-September 2.

Boonton Fire Department Labor Day Carnival

Where: Boonton High School Field, Boonton
Deets: Nothing says summer send-off like an outdoor fair, which features tons of rides, a live concert, pig roast and huge fireworks display. Stick around on Labor Day for a Labor Day parade, celebrating Booton and its fire department. Runs August 30-September 2.

South Plainfield 61st Labor Day Parade

Where: South Plainfield Middle School, South Plainfield
Deets: Share a day with your community at one of the oldest events in South Plainfield. This year’s theme is “We Are Family” and features floats from local businesses, students and organizations. Afterwards, browse vendors, listen to live music and watch a fireworks display once the lights go down.
