Little builders and gamers everywhere have long been obsessed with Minecraft, the video game in which players explore a map made completely of digital blocks and materials they collect and build themselves. Luckily for them, Minefaire, a massive interactive fan experience, is coming back to The New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center in Edison from August 3-4, 2019.

While there, your kiddo will geek out over live stage shows, workshops, virtual reality demos and of course, live gaming. Gamers will get to take part in informative workshops, build some IRL structures at the LEGO Minecraft station and shop the world’s biggest official Minecraft merch store. Dress her to the pixelated nines for an epic costume contest, plus snag pics with real-life Creepers and other characters.

If he’s trying to amp up his gameplay, he can score tips from Official Minecraft Education Global Mentors and try them out in competitive tournaments. YouTube lovers are in luck, too. Famed vloggers will be there in person to answer questions at a live Q&A.

The New Jersey Convention and Expo Center is located at 97 Sunfield Ave. in Edison. Ticket rates aren't out yet, but you can sign up now for pre-sale access so you can reserve your tix ahead of the rest of the crowd. Last year, tickets were bought online: Day passes went for $49, while Sunday’s VIP tix went for $69, all plus small fees. The VIP pass gets you early entry, priority seating at the Diamond Stage, a swag bag and lanyard. Kids under age 2 get in free.
